The Senate passed it's version of the health care bill on Christmas Eve and not the next step in the legislatve process is for both the Senate and House bills to go to conference committee. This article from the Washington Post from last July by Ezra Klein provides a very good explanation of this process. Keep in mind that the filibuster is a procedure only used in the Senate.
